On foot

Blues Alley is just one block long, located one-half block south of M Street and one-half block north of the C & O Canal (image at left), between Wisconsin Avenue and 31st Street NW.

By bike

Blues Alley is a short walk to the end of the Capital Crescent Trail on Water Street NW. For details visit www.cctrail.org. Bicycle racks are available close to the studio at the corner of 31st and M Streets. In addition, Capital Bikeshare has six stations in Georgetown. By bus

Ten DC Metrobus lines serve Georgetown: 30S, 30N, 31, 33, 38B, D1, D2, D5, D6, and G2. For routes and trip planning information, visit www.wmata.com.

The DC Circulator bus offers two lines to Georgetown: east-west from Georgetown to Union Station via downtown; and from Rosslyn, VA through Georgetown to the Dupont Circle metro. The fare is $1. For more information and a map, visit www.dccirculator.com.

By Metro

The Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station, located on the blue and orange lines, is a 15-minute walk from Georgetown. The Rosslyn station, also on the blue and orange lines, is a short walk across the Key Bridge to Georgetown. Metro riders can also access Georgetown via the DC Circulator bus from the Rosslyn, Dupont Circle and Union Station Metro stops. For more information, visit www.wmata.com.

By car

Metered Parking - Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm at $2/hour. Payment for on-street parking is not enforced on Sundays and holidays. The DC Department of Transportation and Parkmobile have created a citywide pay-by-phone parking system which allows drivers to use their mobile phones to pay for parking. Parking Restrictions - Parking is not permitted from 7 to 9:30 am and from 4 to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday along M Street and on the 1100-1600 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue NW.

Residential Street Parking - On-street parking on residential streets in Georgetown is limited to two hours during hours of operation for vehicles without a Zone 2 Residential Parking Permit.
