Camp Mud

Camp Mud offers a great introduction to working with clay for budding potters aged 9 to 14. We help develop skills in throwing on the potter’s wheel as well as in hand-building.
The instructor gives a solid grounding in pottery fundamentals. Students are taught how to center a mound of clay on the potter’s wheel, and how to throw, trim and glaze their
pots. All will learn how to make cups, bowls and other simple forms.
Students should dress in clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, trim their fingernails short, tie back long hair and bring an old towel for wiping their hands.
